Monthly Book Sale Desperately Looking for a Home

We greatly appreciate all the letters, e-mails, city council attendance, and petition signing from the many hundreds of you who support our monthly book sales.  Two fine articles appeared recently about the need for new space for the book sale in the Palo Alto Weekly and in the San Jose Mercury.  In addition, we've given the city council 650 signatures and the numerous comments of support from citizens during our petition drive.  But we have to push even harder, because we have not yet gotten word from the city of suitable space past September.  Please e-mail the city council at city_council@city.palo-alto.ca.us, the Palo Alto Weekly at readerwire@paweekly.com, and the Palo Alto Daily News at news@paloaltodailynews.com with your support for the book sales and tell them how much the sales mean to you.  The Friends of the Palo Alto Library have held these sales for over 40 years, and it would be a terrible tragedy to stop now.
