Only Four More Book Sales at Terman

Because the Palo Alto School District will begin remodeling the Terman site in September, in preparation for a middle school in Fall 2003, there will be only four more monthly sales in our present book sale space.  We had hoped to relocate to space offered by the City of Palo Alto at the Cubberley Community Center, but that offer has been withdrawn.  We are therefore looking for other suitable space in Palo Alto to continue the sales from.  If you know of such space, please contact us at info@friendspaloaltolib.org or call our book room at (650) 493-7432.

Many Summer Library Events for Children

The Palo Alto Library sponsors a number of delightful summertime events for children and teenagers, including:

June 11 at 6 PM to 7 PM: Garden Stories at Gamble Gardens

June 12 at 7 PM: Family Stories at the Children's Library

June 13 to August 31: Summer Reading Program at all branches

June 14 at 3 PM: Reggae band concert to launch teen reading program at the Main Library

June 19 at 3:30 PM: Gypsy magic show at the Children's Library

June 26 at 3:30 PM: Puppet show at Mitchell Park Library

July 3 at 3:30 PM: Exotic animals from a wildlife rescue organization, at College Terrace Library.
